What Does the Bible Say About Fear?

AI-generated Bible study with cited scripture references and pastoral reflection.

The Bible addresses fear more than almost any other emotion. One clear message: do not be afraid, because God is with you.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”

Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”

Psalm 23:4 (ESV)

Key takeaway:

Fear is real, but God’s presence is more real.
